it's been raining every day down here in south fla! i need to get back to the track... lol! that 2.0 60' time is sweet... you've improved a lot from your first runs... about .4-.5 sec, right? that should be almost 1 second difference at the end of the quarter mile. : Shazad and myself met up at Gateway International Speedway this evening for a few runs down the 1/4 mile. Last time we went my best was a 13.2@108 and Shaz ran a 13.6@105. Shazad installed an ecu and boost jets last week (taking him to stage 4 I think) and the first run we ran against eachother. : Shazad 13.256@109 : Me 13.240@107 : We both did good thru the day keeping it between 13.2-13.4 but Shaz had better trap speeds. : The Last Run. We lined up against eachother to end the night. I had the best run of my life going, I was seeing a 12 something. I got a perfect launch (2.0 60' on street tires) and had shaz by a little over a car length. Second gear we were still about the same place and my car was feeling better then it ever had b4, third gear I completely missed the shift and had to let off to reshift(I've never cursed so much going down the track b4) shaz instantly jumped 2 lenghts while I was trying to get into gear and kept the lead to the end. Shaz got a 13.041@111 !!! I woulda, coulda, shoulda been in the 12's!!!! : Congratz to Shazad! He did awesome and saw some major improvements from adding the JWT ECU (already had some upgrades but no ECU) he went from a 13.6 to a 13.0! Anyway we had a great time, lots of imports starting to show up and our Z's drew allot of attention. Met some cool people and ran some great runs. I'm sure we'll be back next week and hopefully we'll hit 12's if the temp is below 90(it was 91-95 degrees at the track tonight). : Later, : John
